So, you’ve sent 10… 20… maybe 50 cold messages to recruiters.
You’ve personalized the intros.
You’ve attached your resume.
You’ve said you’re “open to opportunities.”

And still? Crickets.

You’re not alone.
In today’s market, recruiters are buried in messages — and the truth is, a good message isn’t enough anymore.
You need signal, strategy, and staying power.

Let’s break down what to do when cold messages aren’t working — and how to finally get recruiters to pay attention.

❌ First, What’s Probably Not Working:

  • You’re leading with your resume — not with value.

  • You’re writing like a job seeker, not like a problem-solver.

  • You’re blending in with everyone else saying:
“Hi, I’m open to work. Let me know if you see anything!”

Recruiters see hundreds of those a week. You need to stand out.

✅ Here’s What To Do Instead:

1. Audit Your LinkedIn First (Before You Send Anything)

Recruiters check your profile before they reply. If your headline still says:

“Seeking new opportunities”

…you’re already signaling desperation, not confidence.

Instead, update your headline to show:

  • What you do

  • The results you drive

  • The types of roles you’re targeting
